Secure, safe. Evidence.

Always safety reports (we mean the original notification) should be treated as confidential material. Good practice is to store the originals of report (when in written form) in a safe. When electronically available, access to the original reports should be deliberately restricted to avoid identification and subsequent blame games.

Be aware, though regretfully,  that the original report may be used as evidence in later judicial or civil cases. All the more reason to treat it with care and dedication.
